GARY BASEBALL STADIUM
Gary, Indiana
Construction Management Services were provided for the U.S. Steel Yard the home of the Gary South Shore Rail Cats, a professional baseball team and member of the Northern League. This new open air, state-of-the-art ballpark, includes 6,000 seats, 18 suites, picnic area situated in the leftfield corner curving behind the Rail Cats’ bullpen, a stadium club/restaurant, 55-foot tall scoreboard in left-center field with a 16’6” by 22’2” state-of-the-art LED video screen.

MARION COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY
Indianapolis, Indiana
Powers & Sons provided General Construction Services for the interior package of the project. The six floors in the new Tower are finished with 95% raised access flooring. The millwork portion of the project included casework, computer cabinets, shelving and display cabinets. As a green element, the project included the reuse of stone tiles from the existing historic building, which were removed, re-cut, refurbished and re-installed in both the new tower and old historic library.

INDIANA FORENSICS AND HEALTH SCIENCES LABORATORY
Indianapolis, Indiana
Powers & Sons worked with Turner Construction Company in a joint venture as the Owner’s On Site Representative for the construction of this 175,000 square foot cast in place concrete structure, with aluminum curtain wall and brick veneer exterior. In addition to constructing the new three-story facility, Powers & Sons coordinated the relocation of equipment from the existing state laboratories to the new facility. The project received a Silver LEED Certification. |

MARKET SQUARE ARENA
Indianapolis, Indiana
Construction Management Services were provided for this project in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. This 3-phase project required extensive coordination of jobsite activities to ensure the safety of both the contractors and the public. The first phase of the project involved conventional demolition, to prepare the building for implosion. The actual implosion was conducted safely and successfully on July 8, 2001. The final phase involved removal of debris and the subsurface structure, and site improvements including surface parking. |

INDIANAPOLIS CONVENTION CENTER – PHASE IV
Indianapolis, Indiana
Powers & Sons, in a joint venture with CC Brandt, provided Construction Management Services for this exhibit facility, which included expanding the convention space by 140,000 square feet. This project was the largest convention center expansion project undertaken in the Midwest at the time the work was completed. |

MIDFIELD TERMINAL
Indianapolis, Indiana
Powers & Sons provided Construction Management Services on the enplane/deplane roadway in association with the Hunt/Smoot Joint Venture. The new terminal is located between two parallel main runways with an intersecting crosswind runway. The highway access from Interstate 70 is a free flowing central parkway leading to the terminal area complex. |
